Campaign Management
Learn how to manage your email campaigns effectively with DraftMerge.
Starting a Campaign
- Complete all required steps: Contacts, Template, and Settings
- Review your campaign summary
- Click "Start Campaign"
- DraftMerge will begin sending emails with smart pacing
Smart Pacing
DraftMerge uses smart pacing to protect your Gmail reputation:
- Randomized delays: 1.5-4 seconds between emails
- Daily limits: Automatically enforced based on your plan
- Auto-pause: Campaigns pause when you reach your daily limit
- Auto-resume: Campaigns resume the next calendar day
Monitoring Progress
The Dashboard shows real-time campaign status:
- Total recipients: Number of rows in your contact list
- Sent: Emails successfully delivered
- Pending: Emails waiting to be sent
- Failed: Emails that encountered errors
- Skipped: Emails skipped (invalid, unsubscribed, or duplicate)
Pausing a Campaign
You can pause a campaign at any time:
- Open the Dashboard
- Click "Pause Campaign"
- The campaign will stop after the current email is sent
- You can resume later from where you left off
Resuming a Campaign
- Open the Dashboard
- Click "Resume Campaign"
- Sending will continue from the next pending recipient
Canceling a Campaign
To permanently stop a campaign:
- Open the Dashboard
- Click "Cancel Campaign"
- Confirm the cancellation
- Note: Already-sent emails cannot be unsent
Daily Limits by Plan
| Plan | Daily Limit |
|---|---|
| Free | 50 emails/day |
| Individual | 400 emails/day |
| Workspace | 1,500 emails/day |
| Multisend | 10,000 emails/day |
Multi-Day Campaigns
For campaigns larger than your daily limit:
- DraftMerge automatically calculates how many days your campaign will span
- Example: 1,000 recipients on Free plan (50/day) = 20 days
- The campaign pauses each day and resumes automatically the next day
- You can close the browser; the campaign will continue when you reopen DraftMerge
Campaign Queue (Paid Plans)
On paid plans, you can queue multiple campaigns:
- Start a new campaign while another is running
- It will be added to the queue
- Queued campaigns start automatically when the previous one finishes
- Maximum 5 campaigns in the queue
Best Practices
- Start small: Test with 10-20 recipients before large campaigns
- Monitor failures: Check the Dashboard for failed emails
- Respect limits: Don't try to circumvent daily limits
- Keep lists clean: Remove invalid emails before sending
- Use suppression: Add unsubscribed contacts to your suppression list
